It appears as a fine white powder or granules, and when dissolved, it forms a colloid with multiple functionalities such as thickening, stabilizing, emulsifying, suspending, and film-forming. Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) in the mining industry serves as an exceptional pellet ore binder and flotation inhibitor. CMC is an ideal raw material for ore powder molding binders, indispensable in pellet production. It enhances the quality of wet, dry, and roasted pellet ores, offering excellent adhesion, balling properties, and resistance to bursting. This results in high dry and wet ball compression and falling strength, ultimately improving the grade of pelletized ore.

In mineral processing metallurgy, the use of Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) can significantly reduce the consumption of mine inhibitors, thereby lowering costs and enhancing the recovery rate of valuable metals. It is particularly effective for minerals associated with copper, gold, nickel, platinum group metals, and potash, making the entire mineral separation process more cost-efficient.
