Yizhong Sodium CarboxyMethyl Cellulose (CMC) is anionic cellulose ether made from cotton fiber by alkalization, etherification, purification, drying, grinding or granulation. It has the appearance of white powder or granules and the colloid solution has functions like thickening, stabilizing, emulsifying, suspending, film forming etc. CMC is widely used in food, toothpaste, paper making, ceramics, printing and dyeing, oil drilling and other industries.

Polyanionic cellulose (PAC) is a water-soluble polymer organic compound, cost-effective, excellent in preventing shale hydration, controlling filtration loss, salt resistance, etc. It can be used in water-based drilling fluids as well as low-density brines.
Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), which can be used as oil repellent, viscosity reducer, acidification corrosion inhibitor, water plugging agent, etc., is widely used in oil drilling field.
 

CMC plays a role in lifting and lowering water loss, increasing viscosity, etc. in drilling fluid, cementing fluid, and fracturing fluid, in order to protect the wall, carry drilling cuttings, protect the drill bit, prevent mud loss, and improve drilling speed. It is directly added or mixed into the mud as a glue.
